The Polycom VSX 8000 series
is positioned at the
top-of-line of the VSX products as a performance, rack-mount design group
system. They offer features that custom integrators have
requested such as camera tracking to presets with the PowerCam Plus camera,
seamless Vortex integration, direct VGA-in from laptop and POTS audio add-in. A
new Integrator’s Reference Manual for the VSX Series is available that details
over 200 supported API commands and includes cable pin-outs and other technical
information. To accommodate different environments, Polycom has created three
distinct models.
VSX 8000
Is the codec only product, ideal for use by custom integrators.
VSX™ 8400
Includes a PowerCam camera, (2)
microphones and People+Content.
VSX™ 8800
Includes a PowerCam Plus camera, (2)
microphones, People+Content, MPPlus software and an auxiliary speaker kit to
support Polycom StereoSurround™.
VSX 8000 Series
was introduced with Software
Release 7.0. It is fully
interoperable with the V500, PVX, other VSX
models and the Polycom product line.
