Our Polycom ViewStation H.323 - can be enhanced to add many Room conferencing system features to Skype video calls to iPhones, Androids, PCs, Laptops, Macs, etc. (e.g. this ViewStation system includes a PTZ camera with 12X zoom and presets, a 360 degree table-top mic, and remote control) . . . and you can add live streaming over the web. All these enhancements are via our unique VSS-1 option.

The ViewStation product line is no longer being produced by Polycom. Limited stocks of new, refurbished and used models are still available. Annual service contracts, support, modules, replacement parts and accessories are available.

The Polycom ViewStation H.323 was a very popular system (and it's still a very reliable workhorse in many conference rooms). It provides Standard Definition (SD) videoconferencing at speeds up to 756K over IP.

The Wainhouse Research Bulletin Page-1 Vol. 8 #37, November 05, 2007 - shows Polycom selling 10K to 20K of this type of group video conferencing system per quarter.

In today's market, the ViewStation H.323 system offers many features and benefits that still are very relevant . . . and useful in conferencing with remote sites using Skype and other web based systems.

Good quality Polycom mics for 360 coverage . . . with a second optional mic pod available.

The PTZ remote controlled camera is based on the Sony EVI-D30 with these specifications . . .

The Video Inputs and Outputs offer flexibility in H.323 calls over IP . . .

The system is suitable for worldwide use (NTSC and PAL differences in video output are a consideration however)

To use this ViewStation system for videoconferencing with Skype remote users (on iPhones, Laptops/PCs), or as a source for live streaming over the web, we have added the a kit from the VSS-1 system to each system that we ship.

This power supply has a 5-pin connector on the codec. It works with input power ranges of 100V to 240V at 47 to 63Hz (i.e. it's suitable for international and US locations).

1465-20845-001 POWER SUPPLY - Power Supply for ViewStation EX and FX - obsolete - no longer available. This power supply has a 7-pin connector on codec. The best alternative is to trade-in the your obsolete ViewStation system on a new system.. Contact us for details on the trade-in program. You may also be able to update or renew your maintenance contract and get the replacement power supply covered.
