Travel
advisories and travel alerts from the WHO & the US CDC, the Travel
Warnings and Public Announcements from by US State Department. and the weather
and other airport related delays reported by Air Traffic Control in the USA. They
all can dramatically effect travel to the countries & cities involved and they can be an important influence on the need for videoconferencing for business and
individuals.

US State Department, when they decide, based on all relevant
information, to recommend that Americans avoid travel to a certain country.
- Public Announcements - from
the US State Department, disseminate information
about terrorist threats and other relatively short-term and/or
trans-national conditions posing significant risks to the security of
American travelers. They are made any time there is a perceived threat and
usually have Americans as a particular target group. In the past, Public
Announcements have been issued to deal with short-term coups, bomb threats
to airlines, violence by terrorists and anniversary dates of specific
terrorist events.

- Green for General Arrival/Departure delays are
15 minutes or less. Yellow - Departures are
experiencing taxi delays of 16 to 45 minutes and/or arrivals are
experiencing airborne holding delays of 16 to 45 minutes.
Orange - Departures are experiencing taxi delays greater than 45
minutes and/or arrivals are experiencing airborne holding delays greater
than 45 minutes. Red = Traffic destined to this
airport is being delayed at its departure point. Check your departure
airport to see if your flight may be affected. Blue =
