Any broadcast streaming system
or videoconference system requires good
bandwidth speed and quality -
384K IP bandwidth would be a minimum upload speed for
this type of application. Some legacy videoconferencing systems have ISDN
capability only. Internet access to the room will have to be added for
streaming.

The VSS-1 system adds
streaming media capabilities to most types of camera systems such as
the Sony EVI-D30, EVI-D70 or EVI-D100 . . .or any camcorder with s-Video/RCA video,
DVI or HDMI outputs . . . or to your existing SD or HD videoconferencing system of
most
types, including Polycom, Sony, TANDBERG, LifeSize and other similar videoconferencing
system. |
The VSS-1 system includes the hardware and software
pre-configured to make setup and operation of system as easy as
possible.
Local
Service for Small Groups (for up to 50 viewers): The
VSS-1 system works on your LAN, or via an ISP (Internet Service Provider) for serving
and storing the video & audio on the web.
(Bandwidth usage is typically about 300K per
viewer over the internet . . . For typical video streaming at 300K bandwidth usage, 8 hours
of streaming is 1 GB approx).

Global ISP Service
for Unlimited Broadcasts: We also can provide and optional link to higher
capacity broadcast sessions - accommodating hundreds or

The
current VSS-1 system can record and broadcast high quality video at a resolution of 720 by
480 pixels at 30 frames per second. Prior versions had a maximum
resolutions of 320 by 240 pixels at 30 frames per second.
