System works with any model with VCR, DVI, HDMI outputs - i.e.
- For the Polycom HDX Series - models including the
HDX7000-720p, HDX7000-1080p, HDX8000-720p, HDX8000-1080p, HDX9000-720p,
HDX9000-1080p, HDX-9001 codec (SD),
- For the Polycom VSX Series - models including the VSX
6000, VSX
7000s, VSX 7000e, and VSX 8000,
- For the Polycom SD ViewStation Legacy Series - models
including the ViewStation H.323, the ViewStation FX, the VS 4000, i.e.
VS-128, VS-512, VS-MP, VS-EX, VS-FX, VS-4000, and
- For the Polycom SD iPower Legacy Series - models
including iPower Executive, iPower600 Series, iPower900 Series, iPower9000
Series.
- Typically your conference room screens needs
modern LCD's or plasmas or projectors that support PC or Laptop VGA, DVI, or HDMI video inputs.
For the VSS-1 System, in addition to the Skype Interface,
you also get utilities to record video calls. Also you can stream out the live
video sessions to up to 50 users on the web (the
remote users can see the live or recorded video using Windows Media Player) . .
. or to many more remote
viewers via Ustream services, etc.
The VSS-1 System
has both Standard Definition
(SD) systems & High Definition (HD) versions. With the current Polycom HDX
systems listed above, the VSS-1 System is all that's required for the full Skype
upgrade.
Microsoft Skype benefits include up to 1080p secure
videoconferencing, audio conferencing & collaboration on most device platforms –
including PC’s Laptops, Macs, Apple & Android smart phones and tablets. It’s a
system that many people already know and use. Customers save on video and audio
conferencing costs. They also can collaborate using powerful tools such as IM,
SMS text, screen sharing and file sharing. Skype can support up to 10 video
users on a single conference, and 25 audio conference users.
