Its Monday morning…and Jack, VP of Sales, wants to hold his weekly team meeting.
Jack’s team is spread over the country, so Jack simply picks up his video remote, and dials one number (in this case, its an IP alias that is the same as his desk phone extension, so its easy to remember)
Picture of Polycom remote pops up, Jack dials 4445. Jack has now entered his own personal “meeting room”, and waits for other team members to join.
The first member to pop in is Mark from the Chicago office. Mark is using the cost effective video desktop system, Polycom VSX5000, and joins in simply by dialing the same number as Mark – 4445.
Mary is also “on-net” in the San Francisco office, and she too joins in. But where is Jackie?
Jackie is on her way to the airport, but knows the meeting is mandatory – so she too joins the meeting by audio only, over her cell phone, using Jack’s 1-800 number.
Pop, pop, pop…everybody joins in.
